This Actress Will Own The Box Office in 2014
It’s tough to predict what film will do well and which ones won’t. The same goes for trying to predict what actor or actress will have a break-out year as well. There is one actress though, who is bound to have a way better-than-average take at the box office in 2014. Can you guess who that might be?
Actress Jennifer Lawrence
X-Men: First Class
X-Men: First Class was released in 2011 and had a Domestic take of $146,408,305 (Worldwide: $353,624,124). In comparison, X-Men: The Last Stand, the previous X-Men film to First Class (not counting the 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine)
The Hunger Games
Actress Jennifer Lawrence was then cast in the leading role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games, released in March 2012, which not surprisingly, given the popularity of the book series, had a huge domestic take of $408,010,692 (Worldwide: $691,247,768).
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, as of Dec. 18, 2013 was at a little over $361,589,000 and more than likely will continue to climb while still at theaters. With actress Jennifer Lawrence’s role as Katniss Everdeen taking on an even more commanding role in the film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire has already been lauded as significantly better than the first film. The is still box office receipts to plunder for this one!

On to 2014…
In May 2014, Jennifer Lawrence will once again don the revealing blue make-up and take to the big screen as Mystique, yet once again in X-Men: Days of Future Past. With early enthusiasm already building for the film, with the release of a great trailer and online promotional campaign, there is no doubt that this next installment of the young mutants will soar way past the initial X-Men: First Class.
Within months of that release, Jennifer will be back center stage with the 3rd Hunger Games film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay (part I) in November 2014. Although tough to predict the success of any given release, with the collective worldwide total of the first Hunger Games films at one billion and counting, I think its a safe bet that she will have another winner here, especially with the way they ended The Hunger Games: Catching Fire!
Will Jennifer Lawrence be the ‘money-making’ actress for 2014? Tough to say. But what is fairly certain, is that she WILL have two of the biggest box-office films of 2014.
